CONFESSION 101:

My interest lies in Political-Pluralism, all of us working together to salvage our nation even if we have different political loyalties. Unfortunately, some of the folks claiming to be against Jammeh's dictatorship here, have the worst dictatorial tendencies themselves. Some, hardcore tribalist plus bullies who hide behind every excuse to silence their opponents. I respect a man/woman who can debate on issues without resorting to vituperation. The sad reality is, Gambian politics is squalid and putrid.

I get bored of bullshit quick, after a while I prefer to retrieve to my man-cave and chill out. It used to be that, this thing, you call STRUGGLE had mature, smart, intellectuals making mature, smart, intellectual debates. NO more, now the loudest mouths, the most extreme among us have been confused as the genuine. Folks looking for relevance on Facebook will jeopardize what’s at stake just to further their attention-grabbing cause.

In the past, I have talked about this bubble, the bubble were you have the same people who always LIKE and COMMENT on your post, they’re always cheering you, they never disagree with you. This bubble that gives a dubbed sense of righteousness and stops you from seeing outside of that bubble, you think your views are the majority but if you look hard you would notice that it’s the same circle of friends always cheering you.

The rest of us see you for who you are, bigots pretending to be neutral.

Anyways, moving on. Recently, I have been receiving bunch of Facebook-messages, many wondering why I have gone MUTE, if all was okay with me. Thank you for your concerns my friends, I am doing perfectly well.

This morning I woke-up to a message from Bintou xxxx, it read, “Don't be too long, is getting closer*, we need all hands on deck.” I turn-on the TV and heard Michelle Obama say “We can’t afford to give-up right now.”

They got to me, these wonderful ladies had me feeling a little guilty. They’re right. YES, we can’t give-up, YES, we need all hands on-deck. I’ve chosen the route of NOT giving-up, I’ll continue engaging my fellow Gambian youths in the weeks remaining before elections.

This election is NOT a normal election, THIS IS IT. This is our final chance to save our country from Economic, Structural, Social and Financial catastrophe. If we allow Jammeh to rule another Five (5) years, even if he leaves after that, we’ll spend the rest of the 21st century trying to clean-up Jammeh’s mess. That’s how dare our situation is.

Gambia is now among the poorest nations in sub-Saharan Africa which means we are among the poorest nation in the world as it stand right now. We have the slowest growing Economy in the sub-region, even war-torn nations like: Guinea-Bissau, Liberia and Sierra Leone are economically performing better than The Gambia. What a shame!!

We have proven to be weak and self-centered in the past but for once let’s be STRONG. When you go into that Voting-Booth, do the right thing, do the hard but right choice of voting Jammeh OUT.

When you go to cast your ballot/vote on December 1st remember you’re voting for the future you want. If you VOTE for Jammeh (one of the world’s worst dictator) or if you choose to STAY-HOME and NOT VOTE at all, you’re in essence betraying your country and depriving the future generation of Gambians any chance of making it.

Talk to your family, your friends. For once, stop talking about Manchester United, Arsenal, Barca, Madrid, Israel, Palestine. Talk about your own goddamn problems. Talk about your OWN COUNTRY LOL …

Okay, got to stop here :) As always, I love you my friends!!
